The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
