Indeed the tree of Zaqqum, – 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 This is the torment that you persistently doubted". 50 As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security, 51 Within gardens and springs, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 a bounty from thy Lord; that is the mighty triumph. 57 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue, that haply they may remember. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
