۞ God is He who has subjected to you the sea, that the ships may run on it at His commandment, and that you may seek His bounty; haply so you will be thankful. 12 He has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and the earth, all being from Him. Verily there are Signs in this for those who reflect. 13 Tell those who believe to forgive those who hope not for the days of Allah; in order that He may requite folk what they used to earn. 14 Whoso does righteousness, it is to his own gain, and whoso does evil, it is to his own loss; then to your Lord you shall be returned. 15 We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations. 16 And We gave them clear arguments in the affair, but they did not differ until after knowledge had come to them out of envy among themselves; surely your -Lord will judge between them on the day of resurrection concerning that wherein they differed. 17 Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. 18 They will never be sufficient (protection) for you in place of God. The unjust are each other's friends, but God is the guardian of the pious ones. 19 This [Qur'an] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith]. 20 Deem those who commit ill deeds that We shall make them as those who believe and work righteous Works? Equal is their life and their death! How ill they judge! 21
