We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
