The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
