Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; 45 We then gradually withdraw it towards Us. 46 And it is He Who made the night a veil for you, and the sleep a rest, and made the day for getting up. 47 And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain), and We send down pure water from the sky, 48 That We may quicken thereby a dead land, and We give drink thereof to that which We have created of cattle and human beings many. 49 We present the same phenomenon over and over again before them so that they may learn a lesson from it; but most people decline to adopt any other attitude than of disbelief and ingratitude. 50 And if We had willed, We would have raised up in each town a warner. 51 So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them. 52 ۞ And it is He who hath mixed the two seas: this, sweet and thirst quenching; that, saltish and bitter; and hath placed between the twain a barrier and a great partition complete. 53 And it is He who created the human from water and gave him kindred of blood and of marriage. Your Lord is the Powerful. 54 And they serve besides Allah that which neither profits them nor causes them harm; and the unbeliever is a partisan against his Lord. 55 Yet [withal, O Prophet,] We have sent thee only as a herald of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Tell them, "I do not ask of you any recompense for this work: I only ask of the one, who will, to adopt the way of his Lord. 57 And trust the Living One Who will never die, and praising Him proclaim His Purity; and He is Sufficient upon the sins of His bondmen, All Aware. 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between them in six days, then He established Himself on the Throne - the Compassionate! so, concerning Him, ask any one informed. 59 When it is said to them, "Prostrate to (Allah) Most Gracious!", they say, "And what is (Allah) Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which thou commandest us?" And it increases their flight (from the Truth). ۩ 60
