Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth halloweth Allah. His is the dominion; and His is the praise; and He is over everything potent. 1 He it is who has created you: and among you are such as deny this truth, and among you are such as believe [in it]. And God sees all that you do. 2 He created the heavens and the earth for a purpose. He formed you and gave you the best of forms. To Him you shall all return. 3 He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you manifest; and Allah is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 4 Has there not come to you the tidings of those that disbelieved before, then tasted the mischief of their action, and there yet awaits them a painful chastisement? 5 That was because their apostles were wont to come unto them with evidences, but they said: shall a mere human being guide us? Wherefore they disbelieved and turned away; and Allah needed them not. And Allah is Self Sufficient, Praiseworthy. 6 The unbelievers assert that they will never be raised up. Say: 'Yes indeed, by my Lord! You shall be raised up, then you shall be told the things you did. That is easy for God.' 7 Thus, have faith in God, His Messenger and the Light which We have revealed. God is Well-Aware of what you do. 8 Upon the day when He shall gather you for the Day of Gathering; that shall be the Day of Mutual Fraud. And whosoever believes in God, and does righteousness, God will acquit him of his evil deeds, and admit him into gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to dwell for ever and ever; that is the mighty triumph. 9 Those who did not believe and denied Our revelations will be inmates of Hell, where they will abide for ever, and how evil a journey's end! 10
