The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
