We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 And do not ascribe divinity to aught side by side with God: verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him!" 51 Likewise, there came not an apostle unto those before them but they said: a magician or a madman! 52 Have they charged each other with this? Nay! they are an inordinate people. 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 And verily, they who are bent on doing evil shall have their share [of evil] like unto the share of their fellows [of old]: so let them not ask Me to hasten [their doom]! 59 Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! 60
