The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness. 1 No recent revival of the remembrance comes to them from their Lord, except that they play with it as they listen 2 their hearts are distracted and forgetful. The wrongdoers confer together secretly, saying, "Is not this man a mortal like you? Will you succumb to magic with your eyes open?" 3 He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." 4 They say: "Nay, these are confused dreams; nay, he has forged it; nay, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign, even as the Messengers of the past were sent with signs." 5 (As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe? 6 We never sent (anyone) before you except men to whom We revealed to them. 'Ask the people of the Remembrance if you do not know' 7 nor did We fashion them as bodies that ate not food, neither were they immortal; 8 Then We made good unto them the promise; so We delivered them and those whom We willed, and We destroyed the extravagant. 9 And assuredly We have sent down unto you a Book wherein is admonition for you; will ye not then reflect? 10
