THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
