Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth are signs unto the believers. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are Signs for those of assured Faith. 4 And in the alternation of night and day and that which Allah sendeth down of provision from the heaven and thereby quickeneth the earth after the death thereof and the turning about of the winds, are signs unto a people who reflect. 5 These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. In what kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 He hears God's revelations being recited to him, yet persists in his arrogance as if he had never heard them. Forewarn him of a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesome suffering awaits them. 10 This (Qur'an) is the true guidance. Those who deny the Signs of their Lord shall suffer the torment of a woeful scourge. 11
