Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a sublime garden, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 therein a running fountain, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 and cushions arrayed 15 and carpets outspread. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
