Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
