Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the liars 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
