Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? 24 When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. 25 Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ 'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. 35 But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: 44 and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
