Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
