The News (Al-Naba')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Of what do they ask one another? 1 About the awesome tiding [of resurrection,] 2 About which they differ? 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 Again, by no means! anon they shall know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And it is We who created you in pairs. 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 and We appointed night for a garment, 10 And We made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 From the rain clouds We send waters pouring down in abundance, 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 And gardens of thick foliage. 16 Surely the day of decision is (a day) appointed: 17 A day when the trumpet is blown and ye come in multitudes, 18 And the heaven will have been opened, and it will have become doors. 19 And the mountains will have been removed away, and they will have become as mirage. 20 [On that Day,] verily, hell will lie in wait [for those who deny the truth] 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages. 23 tasting neither coolness nor any drink 24 Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - 25 for a suitable recompense. 26 For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning. 27 and they absolutely belied Our verses, 28 Everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 Therefore taste it now – We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30
