The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
