Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
