The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
