Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
