(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 to support me. 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
