The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
