Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
