The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On studded thrones. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and flowing water, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
