But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And that which you do not see. 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet little do you believe 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer. Little is it that you reflect! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 and then severed his life vein; 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 Surely it is a Good Counsel for the God-fearing. 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers. 50 And indeed it is a certain Truth. 51 So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High. 52
