No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 in Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
