The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
