The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
