The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The (unprecedented) crash! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is! 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely! 11
