Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know very well what the earth takes away from them: We hold a book which records all things. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
