۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
تشير بداية ونهاية كل سورة الى السور المنزلة قبلها و بعدها. يمكنك الضغط على أي منها للذهاب إليها.
The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there.
