Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
Said the Council of the unbelievers of his people, who cried lies to the encounter of the world to come, and to whom We had given ease in the present' life, 'This is naught but a mortal like yourselves, who eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 If you obey a mortal like yourselves, you shall be lost. 34 Does he promise you that, after you have died and become [mere] dust and bones, you shall be brought forth [to a new life]? 35 ۞ "Far, very far is that which you are promised. 36 Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected. 37 He is just a man who invents a lie about God; we cannot believe in him." 38 (The apostle prayed): "O Lord, deliver me, for they accuse me of lies." 39 He said: In a little while they surely will become repentant. 40 A blast struck them for a just cause, and We made them look like withered leaves. God keeps the unjust people away from His mercy. 41 AND AFTER them We gave rise to new generations: 42 No nation can anticipate their term, nor can they delay it. 43 Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe. 44 Then We sent Musa and his brother Haroun, with Our communications and a clear authority, 45 Towards Firaun and his court members – in response they were haughty, and they were in dominance. 46 And they said: Shall we put faith in two mortals like ourselves, and whose folk are servile unto us? 47 Then they belied the twain; so they became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance. 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
