Beholdest thou not that Allah sendeth down water from the heaven, and then We thereby bring fruit of diverse colours? And in the mountains are streaks white and red, of diverse colours, and also intensely black. 27 And of men and beasts and cattle, in like manner, divers hues? The erudite among His bondmen fear Allah alone. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Forgiving. 28 Surely they who recite the Book of Allah and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them secretly and openly, hope for a gain which will not perish. 29 that He may pay them in full their wages and enrich them of His bounty; surely He is All-forgiving, All-thankful. 30 The Book which We have revealed to you is the truth confirming previous scriptures. God knows and observes His servants. 31 We then made Our chosen bondmen the inheritors of the Book; so among them is one who wrongs himself; and among them is one who stays on the middle course; and among them is one who, by the command of Allah, surpassed others in good deeds; this is the great favour! 32 Gardens Everlasting! these they shall enter, wearing therein bracelets of gold and pearls, and their raiment therein shall be of silk. 33 And they will say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has removed from us (all) sorrow: for our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving Ready to appreciate (service): 34 Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us. 35 Those who deny the truth shall remain in the fire of Hell. Death will not be decreed for them, so that they could escape by way of death, nor will its torment ever be eased for them. Thus do We requite every ungrateful person. 36 They will cry out in Hell and say: “Our Lord, let us out so that we may act righteously, different from what we did before.” (They will be told): “Did we not grant you an age long enough for anyone to take heed if he had wanted to take heed? Besides, there came a warner to you. So have a taste of the torment now. None may come to the help of the wrong-doers.” 37
