The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin. Those are the signs of the Koran and a Manifest Book, 1 A guidance and good tidings for believers 2 Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. 3 As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. 4 It is they for whom is the worst punishment, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 As for you, (O Muhammad), you are receiving the Qur'an from the Most Wise, the All-Knowing. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 When he approached the fire, he was told, "Blessed is the one in the fire and those around it. All glory belongs to God, the Lord of the Universe. 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 Now cast your rod!" But when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned his back in retreat and did not even look behind. "O Moses, have no fear. Messengers have no fear in My presence, 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness; a sign among the nine signs towards Firaun and his people; they are indeed a lawless nation.” 12 But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic." 13 And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers. 14
