AND HAS the story of Abraham's honoured guests ever come within thy ken? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, 26 and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” 27 He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, 32 That we may send down upon them stone of clay, 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" 43 after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
