HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
