Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
