Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known extent. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
