He it is who sendeth down from the heaven water for you, wherefrom is drinking and wherefrom are trees whereas ye pasture your herds. 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 God has made the day and the night, the sun and the moon, and all the stars subservient to you by His command. In this there is evidence of the truth for people of understanding. 12 And whatsoever He has created for you on this earth of varying colours [and qualities from vegetation and fruits, etc. (botanical life) and from animal (zoological life)]. Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember. 13 It is God who put the oceans at your disposal so that you could find therein fresh fish for food and ornaments with which to deck yourselves with. You will find ships that sail for you so that you may travel in search of the bounties of God and give Him thanks. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is He, then, who creates like him who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. 19 Now those beings that some people invoke beside God cannot create anything, since they themselves are but created: 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
