Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
