And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
