Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
