In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
We sent Noah forth to his people, saying, "Warn your people before there comes upon them a grievous punishment." 1 [Noah] said, "My people! I am but a plain warner to you, 2 That you should serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him and obey me: 3 He will forgive your sins and will grant you respite till an appointed time. When the time appointed by God arrives, it cannot be postponed, if you only knew." 4 He said: “My Lord, I called my people by night and by day, 5 but my call has only caused them to flee farther and farther away [from Thee]. 6 "And verily! Every time I called unto them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, and persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride. 7 And lo! I have called unto them aloud, 8 and, behold I preached to them in public; and I spoke to them secretly, in private; 9 Then I said, Ask forgiveness of your Lord, surely He is the most Forgiving: 10 He will shower upon you heavenly blessings abundant, 11 ‘And will aid you with wealth and sons, and will create gardens for you and cause rivers to flow for you.’ 12 What is amiss with you that you do not look forward to the majesty of Allah 13 "'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages? 14 Have you not regarded how God created seven heavens one upon another, 15 and made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp, 16 "'And God has caused you to grow out of the earth in [gradual] growth; and thereafter He will return you to it [in death]: 17 Then He returns you to it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth: 18 "'And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out), 19 so that you walk in its spacious paths.' 20

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
