and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
