The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
