Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
