Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 The heavens split asunder, 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
