And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
